Meet the Woman Behind the Bar
Hey y’all! I’m Sam, the woman behind the bar at Sam’s Southern Sips.
I was raised in rural North Carolina and grew up with a deep appreciation for small-town living, strong community roots, and the kind of Southern hospitality that makes everyone feel like family.
I moved to Southwest Virginia a few years ago, and while it’s just a few hours from where I grew up, life moves a little slower here… in the best possible way. There’s space to breathe, time to connect, and a strong sense of pride in living life with intention. In the day, I balance a full and meaningful day-to-day career supporting local businesses and facilitating community events, and on the evenings and weekends, you’ll usually find me helping my partner and his family on their cattle farm.
Hospitality has always been a part of who I am. I’ve spent years working in restaurants and hosting events, learning how to read a room, listen well, and create spaces where people feel comfortable, celebrated, and taken care of, right down to the smallest detail. It’s more than a job to me, it’s a calling. And that’s what inspired me to start Sam’s Southern Sips.
This business is my heart in motion. Every event I pour for is personal. Whether it’s a wedding, a birthday, or a backyard get-together, my goal is to make a smooth, memorable, and stress-free day, with a signature touch of Southern hospitality.
So if you’re planning a celebration and want a bar service that feels more like having a friend behind the counter, you’re in the right place.
Southern hospitality, one sip at a time.
Cheers,
