Where are you located and will you travel? 

We’re based in the New River Valley and serve Pulaski County and the surrounding areas. Travel within 40 miles of Pulaski County is included in our base package pricing. That said, we are always up for a road trip! If your event is outside that range, just reach out — we’re happy to discuss the details and see how we can make it work. 

What are the technical requirements for the bars? 

Our bars require flat, level ground for proper setup and service, along with clear access for both setup and breakdown. If your event is at a location without electricity and you’ve selected a bar that requires it, we can include a generator in your package to ensure everything operates as it should. 

What is your payment and refund policy? 

To confirm your reservation, we require a 50% deposit. If you need to cancel more than 60 days before your event, you’ll receive a full refund minus a $150 administrative fee. Cancellations made within 30 days of your event are non-refundable. However, rescheduling is allowed at no additional cost, provided your new date is available.

How far in advance do we need to book? 

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during peak season when dates fill up quickly. That said, cancellations do happen, so it’s always worth reaching out to check availability — even on short notice. 

Do you have a rain date policy? 

Because we book events well in advance, we cannot guarantee availability for rain dates. The event host is responsible for providing tent cover for the bar in case of inclement weather. We’re more than happy to coordinate with your tent vendor to determine the appropriate size and setup needed to keep everything running smoothly. 

Can you also make standard bar drinks? 

Absolutely! You provide the alcohol, and we’ll handle the rest. We’re happy to make all your guests’ favorites, from classic cocktails like Jack and Coke, Gin and Tonic, or Vodka Soda to custom options tailored to your preferences. Every booking includes all necessary bartending tools and supplies, as well as décor, sodas, mixers, ice, garnishes, napkins, and more to keep the bar running seamlessly.

Are you insured? 

Yes, we carry both general liability and liquor liability insurance for every event we serve. Your safety and peace of mind are important to us — we’ve got you covered!  

Does Sam's Southern Sips provide the alcohol?  

No, we do not provide alcohol due to Virginia ABC laws. Our packages include bar rental, professional bartending, and all the essentials like garnishes, cups, straws, and napkins. This setup gives you the flexibility to choose your preferred brands and spirits, helping you stay on budget while still offering a wide selection of drinks your guests will love.
